HISTORY

Our story is written by the match of two most representative figures of italian tailoring in the world; Domenico Caraceni and Gianni Campagna.

Gianni Campagna, born in 1943 in Roccalumera, a small town on Messina’s strait, fell in love with the world of tailoring through Hollywood's glamorous films.

In 1962, he moved from his beloved Sicily. Here, thanks to his talent and his constant commitment, he become first the pupil, then the assistant of Maestro Domenico Caraceni, in his prestigious atelier in Piazza S. Babila.

The atelier since 1930 was dressing the most influntial personalities of the time, from Tyron Power and Giovanni Agnelli to Aristotele Onassis and Prince Rainieri.

After winning the most important prizes of tailoring, as the golden needle and scissors, his journey in the men's clothing industry continued. He worked as first designer with Facis, Lubiam and Marzotto, never forgetting the teachings of his -Maestro.

In 1998 Gianni Campagna back to Milan, bought the Domenico Caraceni brand, who he always considered to be the greatest interpreter of Italian Tailoring.

Since then Domenico Caraceni tailor shop crafts clothes for the entire Italian and international jet set, great Hollywood stars, politicians, royalty and cardinals.

Through generations, still today our tailors aims to carry forward the message and creativity of this two men who managed to transmit Italian handmade style and elegance all over the world.
